Overview
Image Studio is an AI-powered tool for creating professional marketing images. Access it from Marketing > Image Studio in the sidebar.
Layout
- Left sidebar — Your recent AI-generated images. Click any image to view it in the overlay lightbox with its prompt.
- Main area — Three tabs: Posters, Elements, and Image Editor
Posters Tab
Create marketing posters and social media graphics with AI:
- Describe your poster (required) — Write a description of what you want. Use @mentions to reference your characters or products (e.g., "@Maria holding a coffee cup").
- Brand Identity (optional) — Include your store logo, name, phone, address, or description on the poster.
- Count & Size — Choose how many images to generate and the dimensions.
- Template (optional) — Select a template like Sale Announcement, New Item Launch, Facebook Ad, Instagram Story, etc. Or leave blank for freeform generation.
- Reference Images (optional) — Upload product photos, logos, or other images to guide the AI. You can also send images from the Gallery to appear here automatically.
- Click Generate to create your images.
Using Gallery Images as References
You can send images from your Gallery directly to Image Studio:
- In the Gallery lightbox, click the stars icon to use the current image as a reference
- In Gallery select mode, select multiple images and click Image Studio in the action bar
The images will appear as reference thumbnails in the Posters tab, ready for generation.
Elements Tab
Manage reusable characters, products, logos, and items that can be @mentioned in your poster prompts:
- Characters (head & shoulders or full body) — Create mascots or brand characters with AI-generated reference sheets
- Products — Import from your product catalog or create manually
- Logos — Upload your brand logos for reference sheet generation (colorways, mono, badge variations)
Each element can have a reference image and description. When @mentioned in a prompt, the AI uses the element's image and description to maintain visual consistency.
Image Editor Tab
Edit existing images with AI:
- Change backgrounds
- Change outfits
- Add props
- Apply style transfers
Requires a reference image and a template selection.
Gallery Overlay
Click any image in the left sidebar to open it in the overlay lightbox. From here you can:
- View or edit the prompt used to generate the image
- Copy the prompt for reuse
- Regenerate with the same or modified prompt
- Download the image
- Send to the Content Planner for social media posting
Token Billing
Image generation uses AI tokens from your token balance. The cost per image is displayed in the studio. Purchase more tokens from Settings > AI Tokens.
Permissions
Image Studio requires the Marketing: Manage Social Media permission or store owner access.
