Attendance

Clock In/Out Methods

  • Face Recognition — Employees clock in by looking at the POS camera. Fast and contactless.
  • Manual Entry — Managers can manually add attendance records in the back office.

Viewing Attendance

Go to HR > Attendance to view all clock-in/out records. Filter by date range and employee.

Work Hours

Go to HR > Work Hours for a summary of hours worked per employee, including overtime. Export to CSV for external payroll systems.

Clocking Out an Employee Who Forgot

When someone leaves without punching out, their session stays open and keeps counting hours. Managers with the Manage Attendance permission (and store owners) can close these sessions in two places:

From the HR Attendance Page

  • Sessions from a previous day — a yellow "Still Clocked In — Forgot to Clock Out?" panel appears at the top of HR → Scheduling → Attendance whenever any employee has an open session from before today. It shows who they are, when they clocked in, and how long ago — regardless of which date you're viewing, so forgotten sessions can't hide on yesterday's page.
  • Sessions from today — active sessions in the attendance table show an orange clock-out button in the actions column, for cases like an employee who left early.

Either button opens a popup with a date-and-time picker. It defaults to the current time, but for a forgotten session you should set it to when the employee actually finished (e.g. yesterday's shift end) — otherwise all the elapsed time counts as hours worked and may register as overtime.

From the Dashboard Team Roster

Click an on-duty employee's card in the Team Roster and choose Clock Out from the menu. This clocks them out as of now — right for someone on duty today. If their session was left open on a previous day, the menu takes you to the HR Attendance page instead, where you can pick the real end time.

How Manual Clock-Outs Are Recorded

  • The session shows a Manual badge and a marker next to the clock-out time; hovering it shows a note of which manager performed the clock-out.
  • Overtime detection runs exactly as with a normal punch-out, including per-employee flexible-hours thresholds — detected OT still goes through the usual approval flow.
  • Payroll treats the session like any completed shift, using the clock-out time you set.
